de Bernd 2025-12-02 20:13:49 No. 27516
Our great-grandfathers fought in WW1, our grandfathers fought in WW2, our fathers didn’t fight in any war. Which war will we fight in?
Are you of serf-mentality?
>>27517 You’re a citizen of a country, thus it is your duty
>Which war will we fight in? Germans at it. Again.
>>27518 To each his own.
>>27519 Belarusians were involved in both world wars

I'm starting to think that maybe it's not a very cool or positive thing having had a family member that fought in WW2 under axis powers. If you were to ask me, I find it to be pretty cool and I like it, but maybe not most people. I'm starting to realize that now at 30 years of age. I should probably not mention it as often as I do.
Thankfully none. Bernd is getting too old for conscription anyway.
>>27529 Where do you mention it? Nobody really cares, but if you’d gloat over your grandpa being a SS officer slaughtering Jews, people would despise you
>>27530 Ukrainian and Russians Bernds are fighting in a war though
>>27516 >our fathers didn’t fight in any war The only true part here.
>>27532 Unless you live in one of those border countries which always have some war going on. But I can't ever see a WWIII happening.
>>27533 Why do you accuse me of lying? My great grandfather Hugo, a Saxon peasant, fought in WW1.

>>27531 I usually say that I have military backgrounds from both sides of my family, which is true, but then after that I usually mention that my grandfather fought in WW2 in the Wehrmacht, which I find to be pretty neat. I'm sure that maybe it's not that big of a deal after all, but even still, I don't think my grandfather would have liked me mentioning the fact that he was in the German army during WW2 just for bragging rights. I heard that at one point, he was captured by the French and held hostage, and they even tortured him. Supposedly, had a really big issue with the French afterwards, which is only natural. I don't know too much about him, to be quite frank and he died before I got to meet him, which is a shame because I really wanted to.
>>27524 as cannon fodder and raped civilians, sadly
The war on information
>>27535 I interpreted this as an inclusive "we". If you want to distinguish between inclusive and exclusive "we" and "our", then speak Chechen.
None of my ancestors fought in WW1 or WW2. If there was a war now I wouldn't be in it as it would most likely be a naval and air war not a huge ground war so they won't need conscripts.
>>27517 My fathers run from war or in too poor of places to get communications. I will probably not have a war to go to.
Mine were chilling in their homestead instead of being mowed down like serfs
>>27529 You think the axis were the bad guys now? I think most nazi volunteers fought Soviets so it's not that bad as I see it
The war on my virginity
No one fought anyone in a war for at least 200 years in my lineage
>>27838 Smart. Dying in a war is pointless unless you get a lot of benefits to your family maybe
Austria is neutral so none.
nuke war one
Fuck off.
